Let's Get to Know Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage

What is the purpose of Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?  This is for someone who wants all the benefits of regular lymphatic drainage but would also like to get the added benefit of body contouring as well. People who have had surgeries like lipo or a tummy tuck should consider getting these sessions regularly in the months following their surgery in order to optimize and enhance their results. Anyone who has had surgery knows that it is not just a one and done thing - you have to work at and invest in maintaining what your surgeon did during surgery

A Few More Things...

Will I get "snatched" with one session? Not necessarily. You will have a more toned and slimmed appearance at the end of your session, and reduced puffiness around your abdomen, arms, and legs. However, everyone will experience different results depending on things like: diet, stress, hormone levels, sleep habits, frequency of exercise, muscle tone, fat distribution, etc. Basically, your personal results depend on lifestyle, health conditions, skin type, and genetics, but since lymphatic drainage massages help move lymph fluid, and the result is often a more snatched look. If you are looking for more defined and dramatic results, you should probably check out and consider my body sculpting services that involve ultrasonic cavitation, vacuum therapy, and radio frequency.

Do I have to do more than one session? The quick answer is no. HOWEVER, it depends on what you are looking to accomplish from getting lymphatic drainage. If you have never had lymphatic drainage before, you should definitely consider coming in for at least 2-3 sessions over a 2- or 3-week period and then come in for maintence sessions after that. If you are getting ready for a wedding, vacation, or some other special event I usually recommend getting at least 3 sessions in the week leading up to the event. If you are just looking for regular maintenance, then it's up to you. Some people choose to come once a week, while others come once every 2 weeks or once a month - it depends on what you feel you need and what you are comfortable doing.

What is the difference between a 60-minute Brazilian lymphatic drainage session and 90-minute session? During a 60-minute session I have enough time to treat the whole body - but not a lot of time to give extra attention to an area you might think could use a little more work. During the 90-minute session I have more time to add in wood therapy and vacuum therapy if needed (and if you want it). It also gives me more time to focus on a specific area that you feel could use a little more attention. If you have never had lymphatic drainage before, you might want to consider doing this session so that there is enough time to break up areas of restricted fascia so that your lymphatic fluid can flow more easily.

Are you looking to get a little more out of your session? You can try a 90-minute session that includes 30-minutes in a infrared sauna blanket and 60-minutes of Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage. How do the benefits of this session differ from a session without the blanket? Improved lymphatic function: The combination of lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna can help to stimulate lymphatic flow, which can improve the body's ability to eliminate waste and toxins. Reduced inflammation: Infrared sauna therapy has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body, which can help to relieve pain and improve overall health. Increased circulation: Both lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna therapy can improve circulation in the body, which can help to deliver oxygen and nutrients to the tissues more effectively. Boosted immune function: By improving lymphatic flow and reducing inflammation, lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna therapy can help to boost the immune system and support overall health. Relaxation and stress relief: Infrared sauna therapy can help to promote relaxation and reduce stress, which can have a range of health benefits, including improved sleep and reduced anxiety.
